NASCAR Driver Anthony Alfredo Stays Hydrated With FluidLogic Flush 360 System
Front Row Motorsports racer Anthony Alfredo is one of the hardest working racers in NASCAR. Finishing in the top 20 in three of the five races so far this season, Alfredo finds that staying properly hydrated with FluidLogic’s Flush 360 System, is giving him an advantage by staying properly hydrated. “The FluidLogic system has made mid-race hydration so much easier for me and more effective,” says Alfredo. “I use the Flush 360 system which allows me to hydrate under green-flag conditions, but to do so with ease since I don't have to snake the tube from a water bottle through my helmet to take a sip of water. Before, I could only drink under caution, since I needed to take my hand off the steering wheel. With the Flush 360 system I simply press the button on the steering wheel with my thumb, and water squirts into my mouth from the nozzle that fits around my microphone.”
With more opportunities to take small drinks of water, Alfredo is taking advantage of many studies done on athletes who perform better and stay focused on task when they are properly hydrated. “NASCAR Cup racing is the most challenging type of racing I have ever experienced,” he says. “It is super important to stay hydrated in order to stay focused when you are racing on the edge of control at 200+ mph, and only inches from other cars around you. Being able to ensure I stay hydrated during the race definitely helps me stay focused and performing at my peak both physically and mentally.”
The FluidLogic Flush 360 system delivers water from the system’s “Pod” via a medical-grade silicone hose, up to the driver’s helmet and through a magnetic coupler that easily attaches and detaches without spilling or losing pressure. “The magnetic attachment of the Flush 360 system not only makes it easy for me in the car but it makes it safer if I need to quickly escape the vehicle in case of an accident,” says Alfredo. He and other NASCAR racers such as Kyle Larson, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and others, are discovering the advantages FluidLogic can provide by making it easier and safer to stay hydrated during a race. FluidLogic components have more than five years of testing and development, enduring the most extreme racing conditions from the dust and heat of Baja to the Brickyard at Indianapolis. NASCAR Driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Uses The FluidLogic Hydration System As An Essential Tool For Racing
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., NASCAR driver for JTG Daugherty Racing, believes staying properly hydrated helps him perform and recuperate faster, during and after a grueling race. “I think hydration has been overlooked by a lot of people,” says Stenhouse Jr. “Until I started using the FluidLogic hydration system, I realized I had also been overlooking the advantages of being properly hydrated. With our races being three to four hours long, staying hydrated is difficult. FluidLogic is a nice tool to have for me to be able to drink throughout the race and helps remind me to drink with the indicator light.”
Stenhouse Jr.’s No. 47 Chevrolet NASCAR Cup Car is outfitted with the FluidLogic hydration system that feeds fluid through the air hose that is connected to his helmet via the Coaxial Maglock magnetic coupler. He is able to program the system to indicate via an LED illuminated button on his steering wheel when it's time to take a drink. Pressing the button activates the system and squirts water from a nozzle mounted around his in-helmet microphone. “Using the FluidLogic app on my mobile phone, I have my timer set to flash at me every two minutes, and give me that reminder to drink,” says Stenhouse Jr. “Incorporating it into the Maglock system has been really nice to use, as the hydration hose runs through my air channel, keeping the fluids cooler than they would be from a normal water bottle.”
After using the system for the past three seasons, Stenhouse Jr. can feel the difference in his body. “I feel so much fresher when I get to the end of a long, hot race,” he says. “Being able to drink while under a long green flag is key in NASCAR Cup races and eliminating the crew guys giving me water during pit stops allows them to focus more on their duties too. On Monday mornings after a Sunday race, I also feel really good and am able to get into the gym and start putting in the work for the following week.”

Jeff Proctor And The Honda Racing Team Win In SCORE San Felipe 250 With FluidLogic
Jeff Proctor and the Factory Honda team drove to a Class 7 win at the 34th SCORE San Felipe 250 on April 17, 2021. The Honda Ridgeline race truck is outfitted with the FluidLogic hydration system and MagLock Air, an air-hose coupling system that easily connects into Proctor’s helmet.
After a grueling 280-mile race in Baja’s toughest terrain, Proctor and his team finished the race in 5:39:19 to win the class. “I was drinking the entire time I was behind the wheel for 5 1/2 hours,” said Proctor. “I had a consistent energy level throughout the entire race and finished without the usual headache from dehydration. My system has a button on the steering wheel that delivers a pre-programmed amount of water, and a light flashes to let you know when it’s time to drink. It gives you just enough water to stay hydrated, but not too much.”
In a desert race where ambient heat and constant steering corrections are necessary, Proctor believes the FluidLogic system helps him stay focused on the course. “The Fluid Logic system is a game-changer for off-road racing. Hydration is key for your cognitive abilities and mental focus. That's what you need here, as these conditions and environment are changing so frequently.”
USF2000 Racer Prescott Campbell Wins With FluidLogic Fluid Containment System
Prescott Campbell of DEForce Racing took the USF2000 season championship lead with a win in Birmingham, AL at the Barber Motorsports Park on April 17, 2021. Campbell uses the new FluidLogic Fluid Containment system, an insulated bottle that can be used individually, or with the FluidLogic programmable system, to remain hydrated. “We can’t have a hydration system built into our F2000 cars so I use the Fluid Containment system with a bite valve on the end of it to stay hydrated,” says Campbell. “Qualifying is a priority to winning a race, so I made sure I was hydrated beforehand and qualified second for both race sessions. When it came time to drive onto the grid for the start of our session, the power went out on the track and we had to wait in our vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the heat. My mechanic kept handing me my FluidLogic Fluid Containment system to keep me hydrated. When we finally got to race after the long delay, I was more focused than the competitor in front of me, and once he made a mistake, I passed and took the win.”

The FluidLogic Hydration System Allows Drivers To Drink Without Losing Focus
FluidLogic is the world's first and only “smart” hydration system that eliminates the need for drivers to think about hydration and focus on the road ahead. The system includes a steering wheel-mounted micro button, with integrated LED, that reminds the driver to hydrate with fluid delivered to the driver's lips via the microphone mounted Aquacom. The Pod, which is the center of the FluidLogic system, delivers a predetermined dose of fluid and is completely programable via the FluidLogic app. Fluid is pumped through the magnetic Maglock Air Coaxial helmet connecter and is stored in the vacuum insulated FluidLogic Containment System.
“With the FluidLogic system installed in the vehicle, all the driver has to do is press a button to drink to the tune of science,” says Rainmaker Solutions Inc. CEO Ed Jaeger. Years of R&D, clinical trials, and testing in the toughest terrain in Baja, meaning the driver can completely delegate their hydration requirements to FluidLogic.
This system is currently used by several teams in Indy Car, NASCAR, Off-Road Racing, sports car racing, and many more. Elite motorsports athletes recognize the advantages of the quick and safe Maglock connections as well as the proven science of proper incremental hydration to remain focused, reduce fatigue, and quick reactions by remaining properly hydrated. “FluidLogic has worked with motorsports specific doctors who have performed many studies on hydration, and determined that athletes performed better when taking short bursts of water more frequently, during intense activity,” says Jaeger. “The FluidLogic system removes the thought process of when to drink, and allows racers to remain focused on their driving, rather than struggling to find a drinking tube.”

Kyle Larson has been using the Maglock Air system for three seasons. |
In addition to the hydration benefits, the FluidLogic system improves the safety and speed of driver changes. It safely releases the driver from the air hose in the case of an emergency extract.
FluidLogic fits all helmet and vehicle types from single-seat open-wheel, to desert pounding machines. Vehicles with forced-air systems utilize the Maglock Coaxial connector to couple their fresh air and hydration in the same magnetic connection. Non-forced air users utilize the Flush 360 helmet connection that incorporates the same Maglock technology.
